Sacrifice

This really isn’t a typical post that we usually do on our blog but I think it is important. I think many people don’t really realize what it takes to grow something like this that we have started here. We are still far away from being a successful thriving clothing brand but we think we are on the right path to make it happen. It takes a lot of self control and sacrifice to not just grow this business but any type of business. When you first decide to start a clothing line and you really don’t have a great deal of money to invest things take a while to grow. Boot strapping it and working hard is what many of us have to do. It means waking up early and getting to get your grind started to staying up late to finish it.

It means putting aside things you want to do or buy in your life so you have a few extra bucks to invest in stickers or maybe more inventory. It really depends on what you are trying to build but it takes a little bit of sacrifice and patience. It also takes almost non-stop thinking and jotting down notes. I almost never stop thinking. My brain is going a mile a minute almost every second of the day. Many people will probably never understand what it takes to even try and grow a business. You don’t do something like this for the money. You do it because you are passionate and you love the industry. I started this thing because I was passionate about the urban industry and I love where I live. Naturally I decided to combine the two. It takes many good ideas to grow a business like this. A good idea is just as good as the last so you have to approach every attempt like it is your last. We do this with no investor money, no financial help, no handouts, we barely even know anyone in the industry. We put ourselves out there and we are making an honest attempt, and I think it is a damn good one. We could be taking vacations and spending our free time playing video games but we chose to try and grow something we love. Hopefully for this someday we will be rewarded not with cash but with success.
